They were normal people, transformed into American royalty.  Maybe that's why we were so fascinated by them.  What they wore, how they spoke, their manner, and where they lived were covered by magazines and radio shows throughout the country.  Their lives trilled and disappointed.  They are faces that will be know throughout history.
