The 2 cable movie networks, that cater to the the classic film buff, are Turner Classic Movies and American Movie Classics. American Movie Classics or AMC was launched in 1984. AMC is devoted to film preservation. AMC presents pictures released from 1930's to 1980's. (AMC Recommended Viewing) Turner Classic Movies or TCM film library consists of films released from 1920s through 1980s. They have 5,000 film titles from the collections of MGM, Warner Libraries, and RKO Pictures. (TCM Recommended Viewing) Movies on these "What to Watch" pages are my favorite movies. They will be playing this month on American Movie Classics or Turner Classic Movies. |
